Your BookWise Business
Charting a Course to Success

Before you launch your new book-selling
enterprise we want to introduce you to a
business plan that will help you build a
more efficient and successful BookWise
business. Let’s assume that you joined BookWise & Company because: 1) you love books, or 2) you’re looking for a great home-based, small business opportunity, or 3) both reasons.

We’re here to tell you that you’ve made a very good decision and we’re really excited to have you in our organization. The reason that we’ve created bookztorichez.com is to provide a helpful resource for associates that are new to BookWise and new to the world of network marketing.

So you’ve signed up for BookWise. You’ve paid your sign up fee and committed yourself to purchasing a book every month; now what do you do?
Let’s imagine that we’re a company of business adventurers. We’ve signed up on the good ship BookWise and are determined to make a voyage of discovery to the “Islands of Success.” All of us have made the same commitment to this venture and we all want to see each other succeed because we are loyal crewmates.

It is an ocean full of network marketing opportunities. There are many merchants afloat selling many “unique” products. Pirates also ply these waters looking for unwary victims. And there is no doubt that charting a course to that mysterious “treasure island” is a daunting challenge. Many skeptics say that we will sail off the edge of the world but we know that network marketing provides an accurate way to navigate these waters.

The good ship BookWise is well stocked and brilliantly designed to help us find the Islands of Success. Ours is an exciting business adventure with a company of friends. There is really nothing here but upside. Where else can you start a home-based business with such a small initial investment and only $35 per month…and read a lot of good books along the way?

Before we begin our voyage there are several things to consider:
1. To be successful you need to take your venture seriously. If this is your first time sailing the entrepreneurial waters of network marketing, it is important to remember that as a BookWise associate, you are a bona-fide small business. When asked by people, “What do you do for a living?” Answer: “I’m an independent bookseller!”
2. You are the Captain of your ship. Leadership, your knowledge of your business and your ability to communicate the BookWise message are the keys to your success. Every person you introduce to the benefits of BookWise & Company is another important person in your own sizeable organization. Each of your associates is the seed to other organizations that will sprout up until BookWise changes the publishing world as we know it.
3. Begin with the end in mind. Where do you want to take your business? Where is this mysterious Island of Success? How do we get there? This business plan is your chart to success. It is a nautical map that shows where the water is deepest, where the currents are strong and the winds are favorable. This business plan will guide you around the shoals of short-sightedness and the reefs of rejection.

All of us want to find the Islands of Success. That is the place where dreams and desires are fulfilled. It’s the place where individual initiative and hard work are rewarded. The message of BookWise is a trusty compass that will not fail. This plan will shorten your voyage and get you to where you want to be in safety.

Welcome aboard!

Navigation
All Captains need to understand the simple principles of navigation. This document is designed as a map, a guide using tried and true methods to determine where we are and where we want to go. We encourage you to follow these principles and, in turn, encourage those you bring into BookWise to do the same. The system we will outline is simple and, most importantly, duplicable. Each person’s level of success can be directly tied to his/her ability to learn and teach the plan to others. If we all follow it our down-line will grow more quickly and easily. The bookztorichez.com web site has been developed to bring all new crew members up to speed quickly so they have the tools they need for a successful voyage.

So, your course is set and your waypoints are plotted. You have the wind at your back and there’s fair sailing ahead. To begin, let’s focus on what those who have had successful expeditions to the Islands of Success and what they have to say. Remember, if we help others build their dreams, our dreams and goals will follow.

Why Network Marketing?
Call it what you want; direct selling, peer to peer, referral marketing, word of mouth or one to one. Network marketing is hot! Over 57 million people made $105 billion last year off from direct sales. With a $24 billion book industry to be tapped, BookWise is poised for success and so are you!

There are four reasons why network marketing businesses are booming:
1. Word of mouth advertising
2. Home-based business opportunity
3. Low risk, high return
4. No experience required!
In today’s world we are bombarded with thousands of marketing messages every day but there’s still one type of message that comes through loud and clear; word of mouth. Nothing sells better than a recommendation from friends or family. Instead of paying millions of dollars for traditional advertisements, direct selling companies pay people who use, love and enthusiastically talk about their products.

It used to be that starting your own business was an expensive and risky proposition but not anymore. Direct selling is one of the best opportunities for everyday people to attain their dreams of financial freedom by becoming the owners of their own small businesses.

The BookWise message proclaims that it’s possible to set up a wholesale book business that can be run from your home. The low initial start up investment and low monthly cost of running a BookWise business can turn into considerable wealth over a period of time.

Creating success as a network marketer is not easy. The majority of people who earn $100K have worked hard for two to three years to reach that level of success. If we work hard and smart for several years we can create a level of wealth that can have a positive effect of the quality of our lives. The best thing is all you need to learn to become a BookWise associate and run your own book business is found here at bookztorichez.com. Don’t have any previous small business experience? No problem. Never been involved in network marketing before? Not even a problem. Everything it takes to be successful in BookWise is contained here and at bookwise.com. Keep reading…

Getting Started:
1. First of all, pay the $39 sign-up fee to become a BookWise Associate. Don’t wait until your starter kit arrives from BookWise. Everything you need to get started is right here at bookztorichez.com.
2. Next, order your first book by activating the Auto Order. This will allow you to receive the 45%-50% member discount and it is the first step to starting to receive your BookWise commissions.
3. Become familiar with www.bookwise.com , your own online bookstore that was assigned to you and this site. You need to know all that is available on bookwise.com so you can use it most effectively. Mybookwise.com is your own private site that you can set up when you have signed up and received your membership number. We hope you find the content at bookztorichez.com useful as you build your BookWise business. Remember, everything on this site is free for you to download and share with your downline.
4. Set and implement a goal to sign as many people in your first 30 days as you can. Remember, you need three people to be paid eight levels down with monthly matching bonuses and nine people to be paid on the 9th bonus level. The more people you have at the top of your organization that you have personally sponsored the better your financial rewards will be.

Your organization will grow faster when everyone is teaching, learning and doing the same thing. Don’t skip steps in the program to try to “get there” faster. Be open to being taught, listen to CD’s, read self help books, attend meetings, improve your ability to be positive and visualize your success. Let the law of attraction work in your life. As the Captain of your ship, you are the owner of a legitimate business, treat it as such.

The Four Step Plan
ONE: DETERMINE YOUR “WHY”
We do things for many reasons. We may be motivated to overcome challenges, to receive financial rewards or in the case of BookWise, to have a passion for reading and promoting great literature.
Everyone signs up for BookWise for slightly different reasons. Learn what YOUR reasons are and be clear about them.

Consider the dreams associated with why you want to build your BookWise business. When you match your ‘why’ with your dreams it creates a personal vision that will be the fuel that drives you towards success. It is the important ‘end in mind’ that Stephen Covey talks so much about.

Visualization is an important part of realizing your personal vision. Take some poster board and create an ‘image map’ that represents your vision for your life. Find images from magazines and other publications that illustrate your expectations of life. You may chose pictures that represent good health and happiness or more specific images of a new house or car that would represent an improvement of your quality of life.

Finally, create the story about why you are involved with BookWise and how it is tied up with your dreams and how it creates a vision for a better life. Develop this story in your own mind and share it with your spouse and your upline and downline. Practice this story over and over again and it can be a powerful message to your prospects about why you see BookWise as a valuable part of your life.

If you want to share your ‘Why Story’ with our BookWise organization, write it down and we will post it on this website.

TWO: SET YOUR GOALS AND COMMITT YOURSELF
Successful people set goals and work towards accomplishing them. Without goals our good ship BookWise is a ship without a rudder; without goals, our sails have no wind and we are dead in the water. Our goals put an ‘X’ on the charts to show us our final destination. Our voyage to the Islands of Success will be fruitless if we do not give our time to seriously considering specific goals and committing ourselves to accomplishing them.

Here are four things to consider when setting personal goals:
1. Write your goal down.
2. Be specific.
3. Be realistic. Your goal must be obtainable.
4. Set a deadline for the completion of your goal.
Now, just writing down a bunch of goals doesn’t mean a thing unless you follow through with serious commitments. Implement this plan in your own business by educating yourself, by using the resources on this website and then follow through by taking action.

Contact your upline leadership and discuss your goals with them. Use this as another way to get to know your sponsor/enroller and come to an agreement of how you can work with each other to succeed.

Remember, a goal is just a wish until you write it down and commit to it.
Now, commit yourself to finish what you have started. This is a business, not a hobby; treat it as such. Educate yourself, organize yourself, and take action. Give some of your attention to your BookWise business every day, have a specific place to work, get business cards, keep track of expenses and open a separate bank account.

THREE: CREATE A CONTACT LIST AND USE IT
Everyone you know is a potential BookWise associate. Go to the marketing toolbox section and find the Memory Jogger worksheet. This will make it easy to create a list from which to start. You will then want to add to it daily. Do not prejudge anyone; let them decide if they want to join. You, on the other hand, will be working with these people, so don’t be afraid to qualify them. You don’t want people who are negative or cynical. Avoid people who are always involved in the ‘blame game.’ The success of your business is in developing relationships, so choose wisely who you want to work with, and then develop long lasting friendships.

According to BookWise leader Larry Bosch, contacts may be divided into three groups, hot, warm, and cold. People that you might know well enough to invite over for dinner might be considered ‘hot.’ ‘Warm’ people you might know on a first name basis; but if you recognize someone and can’t remember their name, that person would be considered a ‘cold’ contact.

When you use the Memory Jogger to create your contact list, work on your hot list first. For every family, friend or acquaintance you should attempt to gather Name, Phone Number, and email address. Remember, creating your contact list is not about numbers; it’s about forging long-lasting relationships. It’s about creating friendships.

THE INVITATION AND FOLLOWUP
Now that you are building your contact list, how do you best contact them? Think about each person on your list; what is the best way to contact them? Contact each person on your list in what seems the most appropriate way for them; email, phone or a personal conversation. A simple invitation is then in order. Invite them to attend a meeting, listen in on a conference call or watch the BookWise Flash presentation or attend a Webcast.

If your contact makes a commitment and then follows through, then it’s time for you to follow through with another conversation. Ask a simple question about what they thought of the BookWise message and listen and learn about your contact’s interest level. Keep your follow-up personal and informal, taking care to listen to what they have to say. Remember, there is a reason why you have two ears and only one mouth. Keep in mind that an objection is not a rejection; it is just a question asking for clarification. If you don’t know the answer tell them you will find out and then do it promptly by calling your sponsor. Always do what you say you will do, call when you say you will call and be on time. Keep accurate records and follow up consistently no matter how long it takes. Never overstay your welcome. If the answer is still no, then honor their decision.

FOUR: START YOUR NEW ASSOCIATE OUT RIGHT AND THEN DUPLICATE YOURSELF
Remember the four easy steps that you took when you signed up for BookWise. That is how you take a new prospect into the BookWise business. Most prospects will not ask to sign up, you should be prepared to come right out and ask them to join and then assist them in the process. Never pressure anyone who is reluctant. The reality is that about 70% of your prospects want to be asked. Remember to send your new associates to this website so they can immediately get the tools they need to succeed. You must remember that those you bring into BookWise will always follow what you do. You are the leader of your organization. Your enthusiasm will be contagious to the people in your downline. As you accept, learn, follow and teach this plan your efforts will be duplicated many times over.
Network marketing is based on the premise that success comes from everyone doing a small amount of business on a consistent basis. Signing up one BookWise associate at a time will result in exponential growth that will turn your small organization into a large and profitable one.
